Assistant Sourcing Manager

A leading global retail organisation seeks an Assistant Sourcing Manager in Hong Kong to drive apparel product development, costing, and vendor management across an international sourcing network.

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced sourcing professional to broaden their commercial exposure, work with global product teams, and influence product value, margins, supplier performance, and speed to market.

Key responsibilities:

• Drive seasonal apparel development from tech pack to shipment, keeping samples, costing, and production milestones on track
• Analyse garment costs and negotiate FOB pricing, identifying opportunities to improve product value and margins
• Manage offshore vendor relationships and support sourcing strategies that strengthen competitiveness, supplier performance, and supply flexibility
• Partner with international Product Development, Buying, Quality, and Planning teams to align product and commercial priorities
• Monitor production progress and resolve delivery, quality, capacity, and supply risks with vendors and key stakeholders

Candidate profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile, Apparel, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field
• 10+ years’ experience in apparel sourcing, merchandising, product development, or supply chain, ideally within a buying office or international retail environment
• Strong experience across women’s woven and knit apparel, with knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, costing, and manufacturing
• Proven ability to manage offshore vendors, negotiate pricing, and build strong supplier partnerships
• Strong commercial, analytical, problem-solving, project management, and stakeholder management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and sourcing management systems, with strong data analysis capabilities
• Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
