Director of Sourcing (EMS)

A leading global Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) organisation seeks a Director of Sourcing to shape strategic sourcing and supplier performance across Hong Kong and China.

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity to lead professionals across teams, influence sourcing strategy at senior level, and deliver measurable cost, supplier, and operational improvements across a complex manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership across sourcing and quotation functions in Hong Kong and China, strengthening team performance and driving commercial and operational results
• Own strategic sourcing, commodity, and supply chain strategies, identifying opportunities to optimise total cost, competitiveness, and long-term value
• Drive supplier performance and strategic partnerships across quality, cost, delivery, and technology, ensuring a resilient and high-performing supplier base
• Oversee end-to-end RFQ and quotation activities, partnering with commercial, engineering, and other functions to deliver accurate and competitive project proposals
• Lead cost and resource analysis for new projects, translating customer requirements, specifications, and technical drawings into commercially sound sourcing decisions
• Provide senior management with market, cost, and sourcing insights, identifying opportunities for process transformation, efficiency gains, and sustained competitive advantage

Candidate profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline
• 15+ years’ sourcing and purchasing experience in high-tech electronics, machinery, or equipment, including 5+ years in a comparable leadership role
• Strong OEM/ODM exposure with expertise across strategic sourcing, supplier selection, procurement, and supplier performance management
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with strong commercial, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
• Results-driven and hands-on leader who can influence stakeholders, lead teams, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to undertake business travel as required
