A leading logistics organisation in Hong Kong is seeking a Tender Manager to join their team and play a pivotal role in shaping tender strategies and driving successful outcomes for global key accounts. What you'll do:

  • Develop comprehensive tender strategies in close collaboration with headquarters and regional teams, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
  • Lead and coordinate the entire tender process for Global Key Accounts, managing all stages from initial planning through submission.
  • Oversee the execution of tenders, including review cycles and quality assurance of submissions to maintain high standards.
  • Create and maintain frameworks for Local Charges and Tender Tariffs, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all documentation.
  • Assess pricing performance by providing analytical insights that support escalated decisions within the business.
  • Manage tender timelines effectively by prioritising tasks and ensuring all deadlines are consistently met without compromising quality.
  • Supervise operations of the Tender Tool, including configuration, user support, and follow-up with vendors to resolve any issues promptly.
  • Maintain the TMi (PBI) system’s accuracy by designing updates and ensuring consistent reporting across all relevant stakeholders.
  • Support Industry Vertical teams through periodic reviews, aligning tender solutions with specific sector requirements for optimal results.
  • Coach and guide team members by promoting consistent ways of working, encouraging knowledge sharing, and nurturing professional development.

What you bring:

  • A university degree in Logistics, Engineering or Business Administration provides a solid foundation for understanding complex industry requirements.
  • At least four years’ experience in tender management or similar roles within logistics or freight forwarding demonstrates your dependability in handling intricate processes.
  • Current capacity as Assistant Manager may also be considered if you possess relevant experience in tender management.
  • Strong expertise in tender management processes, pricing analysis, and sales support is essential for delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Foundational knowledge of the air freight industry enables you to navigate sector-specific challenges with sensitivity and insight.
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills ensure clear communication across diverse teams; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous for connecting with international stakeholders.
  • A collaborative approach as a dependable team player allows you to build trust within the group while also being able to work independently when required.
  • Ability to work under pressure while meeting tight deadlines highlights your commitment to supporting organisational objectives without sacrificing quality.
  • Analytical thinking paired with conceptual skills equips you to provide valuable insights during pricing assessments and tender reviews.
