The Manager, Events is responsible for the end-to-end planning and delivery of regional incentive travel programs, from concept development through post-event evaluation.

Job Summary

  • Serve as the primary liaison between regional teams, local markets, internal stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Provide regular updates on program status, qualification milestones, requirements, and key decisions.
  • Coordinate stakeholder feedback, manage follow-ups, and escalate risks or issues when necessary.
  • Lead the planning and execution of incentive trips, including destination selection, project timelines, travel arrangements, accommodation, activities, and guest management.
  • Develop and maintain event documentation such as project plans, run sheets, travel manifests, operational checklists, and presentation decks.
  • Manage on-site event delivery, including arrivals, transfers, functions, activities, rehearsals, and readiness checks.
  • Oversee vendors and destination partners to ensure smooth operations and service excellence.
  • Negotiate and manage relationships with hotels, airlines, destination management companies, production vendors, and other suppliers.
  • Track budgets, manage expenses, process invoices, and support financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement, risk management, data privacy, travel security, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Conduct post-event reviews and identify opportunities to improve future programs.
  • Support regional events and strategic projects as required.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Event Management, Hospitality, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in:
    • Corporate events
    • Incentive travel programs
    • Meetings and conferences
    • Destination management
    • Hospitality
    • Agency-side event delivery
  • Proven experience managing:
    • Event logistics
    • Travel arrangements
    • Guest management
    • Vendor relationships
    • Event budgets
    • On-site event operations
  • Experience working with regional stakeholders and international suppliers is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel and work outside standard business hours when required.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong end-to-end event management experience, ideally involving:
    • Regional incentive trips
    • Executive meetings
    • Large-scale corporate events
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across multiple markets and functions.
  • Ability to work effectively with:
    • Regional teams
    • Local markets
    • Senior stakeholders
    • Vendors
    • Destination partners
  • Experience in vendor sourcing, management, and contract negotiation.
  • Strong budgeting, expense tracking, invoice processing, and financial management skills.
  • Good understanding of:
    • Procurement processes
    • Corporate compliance
    • Data privacy requirements
    • Travel risk and security management
    • Financial controls
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Experience with event management or registration platforms (e.g., Cvent) is an advantage.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Additional Asian language capabilities are a plus.
