Senior Manager, China Outbound Business Development

Our client is a leading international business platform with a strong global presence. They are seeking an experienced talent to support the growth of their China outbound business, partnering with Mainland Chinese enterprises that are expanding into international markets.

This individual will play a key role in bridging Mainland Chinese businesses with global audiences, helping clients enhance brand visibility, market positioning, stakeholder engagement and international growth initiatives.

The successful candidate will combine strong commercial acumen, an understanding of China's outbound investment and expansion landscape, and the ability to engage senior decision-makers across various industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage relationships with Mainland Chinese enterprises pursuing overseas growth and international expansion.
  • Partner closely with internal commercial, sales, marketing and content teams to deliver integrated solutions that address client objectives.
  • Identify business opportunities among Chinese companies seeking to build international brand awareness, enter new markets, attract global stakeholders and establish overseas operations.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives, providing insights into international market trends, business positioning and cross-border growth opportunities.
  • Drive revenue generation through strategic account management and new business development activities.
  • Build and maintain a strong network across the China business ecosystem, including corporate leaders, investment communities, chambers of commerce and professional services firms.
  • Collaborate with regional stakeholders to develop solutions tailored to the needs of outbound Chinese enterprises.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activities and emerging sectors relevant to China's globalization efforts.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences and executive-level meetings.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, International Relations or a related discipline.
  • Native Mandarin speaker with strong English communication skills
  • Ideally 8-10 years of professional experience in business development, strategic partnerships, consulting, media, communications, international market expansion or related functions
  • Proven track record working with Mainland Chinese companies expanding into overseas markets.
  • Strong understanding of Chinese enterprise globalization trends and international business environments.
  • Experience advising or supporting Chinese companies on overseas brand building, market entry, corporate positioning, stakeholder engagement or organizational expansion
  • Entrepreneurial, commercially driven and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
