As we continue to expand our store network and strengthen our corporate functions, we are seeking a dynamic and commercially minded HR Manager to drive our people agenda and support organisational growth.

About the Role

The HR Manager will serve as a strategic business partner, overseeing all aspects of human resources across retail and corporate operations. This role will be responsible for talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, learning and development, compensation and benefits, and HR policy implementation.
The successful candidate will play a key role in building a high-performance culture, enhancing employee experience, and ensuring HR practices support business objectives during a period of rapid growth.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Business Partnering

  • Partner with business leaders to develop and implement people strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Provide expert HR advice on organisational design, workforce planning, employee relations, and talent management.
  • Support change management initiatives associated with business growth and transformation.

Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding

  • Lead recruitment activities across retail stores and head office functions.
  • Develop sourcing strategies to attract high-calibre talent in a competitive market.
  • Strengthen employer branding initiatives to enhance the company's market reputation.

Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Drive employee engagement programmes and initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Develop and implement retention strategies to reduce turnover and improve employee satisfaction.
  • Partner with management to promote diversity, inclusion, and employee wellbeing.

Performance Management & Talent Development

  • Manage the performance review process and support managers in performance coaching.
  • Identify talent development needs and implement effective learning and development programmes.
  • Support succession planning and leadership development initiatives.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Review and benchmark compensation and benefits programmes to ensure market competitiveness.
  • Participate in annual salary review and bonus planning exercises.
  • Monitor HR metrics and provide recommendations based on workforce analytics.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
  • Develop, review, and update HR policies and procedures.
  • Manage employee relations matters and provide guidance on disciplinary and grievance cases.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and oversee HR systems and processes.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Experience in retail, consumer, FMCG, or other fast-paced customer-facing industries is highly preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Proven experience in recruitment, employee engagement, talent development, and performance management.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align HR initiatives with commercial objectives.
  • Analytical mindset with experience using HR data and metrics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and growth-oriented environment.
