A global retail organisation seeks a Regional HR Business Partner in Hong Kong to drive people strategies supporting international growth, strengthen talent capabilities, and enable scalable business expansion.

Job summary:

As the business expands its global footprint, it is currently seeking a Regional HR Business Partner to serve as a strategic internal people consultant and operational architect, responsible for aligning people strategies with the Group’s ambitious global growth plans.

Key responsibilities:

  • Partner with business leaders to translate commercial goals into actionable HR strategies, including compensation & benefits, HRIS optimisation, succession planning, and talent management
  • Lead international business expansion initiatives from a people perspective, reviewing and redesigning workforce structures across global offices to support rapid multi-regional scaling and eliminate talent gaps
  • Oversee recruitment for executive and corporate functions, implementing high-impact hiring protocols across all locations
  • Design and implement talent review frameworks, high-potential identification protocols, and succession plans to secure a resilient pipeline for key business positions
  • Review, benchmark, and align regional C&B frameworks to ensure external market competitiveness and internal equity
  • Lead the optimisation of internal HRIS platforms to streamline global workforce administration and reporting
  • Standardise and implement HR policies, employee handbooks, and compliance frameworks across regional entities, ensuring local labor law adherence while maintaining corporate cultural alignment

Candidate profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 10 years’ progressive HR Generalist / HRBP experience, with a proven track record operating across multi-location environments
  • Strong preference for candidates with a dual background spanning Manufacturing and E-Commerce or Lifestyle retail environments
  • Hands-on experience in market entry, new legal entity setups, or office launches
  • Highly commercial, agile, and solution-driven mindset with the analytical capability to translate business expansion plans into scalable HR frameworks
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as required
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Cantonese is essential; proficiency in Mandarin is highly preferred
