Deputy Manager, Performance & Rewards

About the Role

Our client is a reputable organization within the aviation services industry seeking a Deputy Manager, Performance & Rewards to lead key initiatives across performance management, compensation & benefits, rewards strategy, and HR systems. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the organization maintains a competitive and effective total rewards framework while driving a high-performance culture through data-driven people practices.

The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on experience in remuneration design, salary benchmarking, performance management, and HRIS administration, with the ability to balance strategic planning and operational execution.


Key Responsibilities

Performance Management

  • Manage and continuously enhance the organization's performance management framework, including goal setting, appraisal cycles, calibration processes, and performance reviews.
  • Partner with business leaders and HR stakeholders to drive a high-performance culture and ensure consistency in performance assessment practices.
  • Review and improve performance management policies, processes, and tools to enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Provide performance-related analytics and insights to support talent and workforce decisions.

Rewards & Compensation

  • Support the development and execution of compensation and rewards strategies aligned with business objectives and market trends.
  • Conduct salary benchmarking and market analysis using compensation surveys and external market data.
  • Design, review, and maintain salary structures, pay ranges, job grading frameworks, and remuneration programs.
  • Manage annual compensation review exercises, including salary increments, bonus planning, and promotion reviews.
  • Develop competitive remuneration packages to support talent attraction and retention.
  • Ensure compensation practices are compliant with internal policies and governance requirements.

Reward Strategy & Program Renewal

  • Lead the periodic review and renewal of compensation and benefits programs to ensure market competitiveness and cost effectiveness.
  • Assess emerging market trends and provide recommendations on reward initiatives and employee value propositions.
  • Support the design and enhancement of recognition and reward programs that align with organizational goals.

HRIS & HR Analytics

  • Serve as the key HR representative for HRIS-related activities, ensuring data accuracy, system effectiveness, and process improvement.
  • Partner with system vendors and internal stakeholders on HRIS implementation, enhancement, and maintenance projects.
  • Generate HR dashboards, reports, and workforce analytics to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Leverage HR technology to enhance HR service delivery and operational efficiency.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate closely with HR Business Partners, Finance, and business leaders on compensation, performance, and organizational matters.
  • Provide professional advice on job evaluation, organizational structure reviews, and reward-related issues.
  • Support HR transformation and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Statistics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of HR experience, with substantial exposure to Compensation & Benefits, Performance Management, and HRIS.
  • Proven hands-on experience in salary range development, remuneration package design, job grading, and market benchmarking.
  • Strong experience managing annual salary review and bonus cycles.
  • Sound understanding of compensation frameworks, rewards strategy, and performance management methodologies.
  • Experience supporting or leading HRIS projects, system enhancements, and HR analytics initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and HR reporting tools.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
