Private Equity Fund Administration Officer

A leading financial services firm seeks a Private Equity Fund Administration Officer in Hong Kong to oversee complex accounting, financial reporting and operational activities across the private equity fund lifecycle.

You’ll manage capital call and distribution workflows, review complex Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations, and act as a key point of contact for institutional investors and auditors.

Key responsibilities:

• Capital Lifecycle Management: Execute and oversee complex capital calls, distributions and equalisations for private equity structures
• Complex Fund Accounting: Maintain general ledgers, track capital commitments, calculate waterfall distributions and track carried interest
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements, Capital Account Statements (CAS) and investor reports
• Audit Coordination: Drive the annual audit process by preparing workspaces, resolving auditor queries and meeting tight deadlines
• Compliance & KYC: Verify investor onboarding packages to ensure adherence to AML and KYC requirements
• Team Mentorship: Review the work of junior administration officers and assist in training team members on complex private equity accounting practices

Candidate profile:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics. Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA or CFA are highly preferred
• Experience: Hands-on experience in private equity fund administration or private equity auditing
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex modelling, and strong experience with private equity-specific accounting software
• Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of Limited Partnership Agreements (LPAs), capital call mechanics and fee structures
• Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong leadership potential and the ability to manage tight reporting deadlines under pressure
