Business Manager, Rate and FX (Up to 70k)

My client is currently seeking a high caliber individual to join our their Global Markets team as a Business Manager, focusing on Rate and FX. The role will start on a 1-year renewable contract basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Support senior business management in the day-to-day running of the Global Markets business, ensuring smooth operational and administrative oversight.
• Drive strategic business initiatives and coordinate with key stakeholders to support the execution of business priorities and growth objectives.
• Facilitate the implementation of regulatory and internal policies, strengthening governance, controls, and operational procedures.
• Prepare business cases and product approval documentation for new products, services, and business initiatives.
• Assess the impact of regulatory developments on Global Markets products and coordinate with relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance.
• Lead process improvement and cost optimisation initiatives to enhance front-to-back operational efficiency.
• Partner with Technology teams on system enhancements, business analysis, UAT, and project delivery.
• Support business continuity planning, operational resilience, and incident management processes.
• Build strong working relationships across Front Office, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Finance, and Technology functions.

Requirements

• Degree-qualified with at least 5 years' experience within banking or financial services.
• Background in Business Management, COO Office, Product Development, Business Planning, Project Management, or Risk & Control functions.
• Exposure to Global Markets products; knowledge of Rates and FX markets would be advantageous.
• Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Fluent in English and Chinese; Putonghua proficiency is preferred.
