Senior Officer - Banking Operation (Payment & Securities Focus)

A leading financial institution seeks a Senior Officer – Banking Operations (Payment & Securities Focus) in Hong Kong to oversee transactions, strengthen risk controls, and drive operational excellence.

Key responsibilities:

• Review and process payment orders and securities transfers, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution
• Verify client transfer documentation and conduct control checks to mitigate operational and regulatory risks
• Identify transaction discrepancies, errors, and policy breaches, driving timely resolution with clear stakeholder feedback
• Partner with internal clients and downstream teams on requirements, training, post-reviews, and business initiatives
• Support UAT, process evaluations, workflow documentation, and automation projects to enhance operational efficiency
• Prepare MI reports and regulatory submissions while recommending process, system, and risk management improvements

Candidate profile:

• Experience in payment or securities transfer checking and authorisation within banking operations
• Strong knowledge of banking products, operational processes, risk management, and internal controls
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with additional technical skills considered advantageous
• Ability to multitask and adapt effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume operational environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective cross-functional stakeholder engagement
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification, with excellent written and spoken English and Chinese
