Responsible Officer (Type 9) – ETF Operations

A leading organisation is looking for a middle office professional with experience in public fund operations, including ETFs, and compliance.

The ideal candidate understands day-to-day operations as well as investment governance, regulatory restrictions, risk and portfolio construction.

Job highlights:

• Location: Hong Kong (residency required)
• 5 years' recent experience managing public funds (including ETF) in Operations
• Currently post as an RO (Type 9)

Candidate profile:

Mandatory Criteria

• SFC Status: Current RO (Type 9) or immediately eligible for approval
• Management Experience: 5+ years of experience managing investment teams at reputable institutions (global asset managers, leading alternatives firms, major bank AM divisions, established HK managers)
• Public Funds/ETFs: 5+ years of recent experience managing SFC-authorised funds or equivalent (UCITS, SEC-registered retail funds, ETFs)
• Alternative Assets: Proven track record managing alternative strategies within public funds (private credit, PE, real assets, hedge strategies in retail wrappers) preferred
• Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree + CFA/CAIA preferred; HKSI Papers 1, 7, 11, and 12 (or exemption-eligible)
