Analyst, IBD - M&A (Big 4 candidates welcome)

Our client, a leading foreign investment banking group, is looking for an Analyst due to the influx of upcoming deals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Modeling & Valuation: Build and maintain sophisticated three-statement financial models, discounted cash flow (DCF) analyses, leveraged buyout (LBO) models, and accretion/dilution analyses.
  • Deal Execution & Due Diligence: Coordinate and manage the due diligence process for active transactions. Act as a central point of contact for internal cross-functional teams (Legal, Finance, Tax, HR) and external advisors.
  • Market Research & Pipeline Management: Conduct deep-dive industry research and competitive analysis to identify, track, and evaluate potential M&A targets. Maintain the team’s deal pipeline database.
  • Presentation Materials: Draft high-quality investment memoranda, pitch books, and presentations for the Executive Leadership Team and the Board of Directors.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Assist in guiding and reviewing the work of junior analysts and interns, ensuring accuracy and quality across all deliverables.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 1.5 to 3 years of experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Development, Private Equity, or Transaction Advisory Services.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related quantitative field.
  • Technical Skills: Exceptional Excel modeling skills and proficiency in PowerPoint. Experience with financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg, Capital IQ, FactSet) is highly preferred.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong understanding of corporate finance, accounting principles, and valuation methodologies.
