Middle Office Specialist

A leading financial institution seeks a Middle Office Specialist in Hong Kong to support the full trade lifecycle across multiple markets and products.

You’ll help ensure accurate, timely trade operations while strengthening controls and improving workflows. Gain broader exposure to financial markets and trade operations, with opportunities to build middle-office expertise and contribute to process improvements.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the full trade lifecycle, including trade booking, settlement, confirmation, reconciliation and counterparty communication
• Process transactions across Cash Equities, Equity Swaps, FX, Futures & Options, Fixed Income, Rates and other OTC/Exotic products
• Ensure transactions and daily reports are processed accurately and on time
• Handle Stock Loan processing and reconciliation, as well as Cash Transfers and Margin Payments
• Process corporate actions across the full lifecycle, from announcement through to payment
• Identify and escalate workflow issues and operational control gaps
• Contribute to automating, optimising and streamlining operational processes where possible
• Maintain and update operational manuals and procedures
• Support projects and other ad hoc operational tasks as required

Candidate profile:

• University degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related disciplines
• Strong understanding of derivatives and products in other markets
• Strong problem-solving skills are a must
• Positive mindset and a can-do attitude
• Proficiency in professional computer applications is a plus, such as Python or VBA
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure
• Strong sense of responsibility and good work ethic
• Good command of spoken and written English
