Trader - Hedge Fund

A leading hedge fund seeks a Trader in Hong Kong to execute multi-asset trades across global markets, optimise execution strategies, and drive investment performance through close collaboration with portfolio managers.

Key responsibilities:

• Execute multi-asset trades across Asia, Europe, and the US, ensuring timely and efficient execution in global markets
• Execute cash equities, swaps, baskets, options, and futures using low-touch, DMA, algorithmic, and high-touch trading strategies
• Deliver timely market intelligence, pricing insights, and trading updates to portfolio managers to support investment decisions
• Maintain robust pre- and post-trade controls, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
• Source hard-to-borrow securities, block liquidity, and financing opportunities to optimise trade execution and portfolio performance
• Collaborate with operations, compliance, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless trade settlement, effective risk controls, and operational excellence

Candidate profile:

• Bring 3–15 years of trading experience within buy-side or sell-side financial institutions. Candidates with 10–15 years’ experience will be considered for Senior Trader role
• Fluency in Chinese and English, enabling effective communication across regional and global markets
• Thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure trading environment with sound judgement and adaptability
• Build strong relationships with portfolio managers and cross-functional stakeholders through excellent communication skills
• Coding or scripting skills to support trading efficiency and automation will be an advantage
