Commercial Manager/ Contract Manager (Civil)

To cope with its expansion of business, a renowned contractor is currently looking for a Commercial Manager/Contract Manager to join their QS team in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities:

• Management and mentoring of members of the contractor’s quantity surveying team;
• Review of contract documentations and identification variations;
• Valuation and agreement of variations values;
• Preparation and agreement of interim payment applications;
• Preparation of subcontract procurement enquiry documentation, analysis of tender returns and tender recommendation reports;
• Subcontract commercial administration, from award of subcontracts through to agreement of subcontract final accounts;
• Conduct cost analysis, budgeting control, measurement and collation of records at our construction sites.
• Preparation of claims documentation and handling of all claims related issues.

Requirements:

• Degree or above in Quantity Surveying or equivalent, preferably with MHKIS / MRICS professional qualifications
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience of which with large scale civil projects;
• Experience in NEC contracts is advantageous ;
• Effective management of risks and opportunities ;
• Excellent knowledge on QS practice and contract administration;
• Good interpersonal and problem solving skills ;
• Strong commercial sense, independent working, dynamic thinking;
• Fluent in both spoken and written English and Chinese.
