Technical Officer (Vessel, Ships) | up to 38k

We are seeking a Technical Officer for a ship management company.

Duties:

• Understands and adheres to the Health, Safety, Environmental Protection, and Quality Policy, and is aware of their responsibilities under the Environmental Management System (EMS).
• Report any environmental noncompliance or concerns to their manager or senior management, either directly or through the open reporting system, as per the Management System guidelines.
• Provides support for routine maintenance.
• Updates vessel details, assists in organizing annual ship surveys, and creates, organizes, and issues Service Purchase Orders (SPOs) for yearly services.
• Maintains continuity in guarantee management and follow-up, ensuring that guarantee claim files are current with all invoices and supporting documents.
• Supports SPOs, personnel, and tools during major repairs.
• Assists with dry-dock planning, specification preparation, and execution of SPOs.
• Compiles statistical data for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), guarantee claims, etc., and assists with department reporting.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years in a similar role in a ship management company
• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Handled maintenance projects before
• Excellent know-how in sourcing ship spares and stores for containerships
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
• Effective communication skills
