Project Manager (Data Centre, Contractor)

A leading engineering contractor seeks a Project Manager in Hong Kong to lead complex data centre projects, driving end-to-end delivery, technical excellence, and world-class project outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end delivery of data centre fit-out projects, from spatial planning to infrastructure readiness
• Lead cross-functional coordination of MEP, cooling, power, cabling, fire protection, and security systems
• Manage procurement and long-lead materials to maintain schedules and minimise delivery risks
• Drive compliance with cleanroom, safety, security, and regulatory standards ahead of testing
• Lead progressive testing and Integrated Systems Testing (IST) to ensure system performance and operational readiness
• Oversee project handover, including documentation, manuals, asset registers, and transition to operations

Candidate profile:

• Degree/diploma in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Interior Architecture, Construction Management, or related field
• 8+ years’ relevant experience, including 3+ years in a managerial role and at least 1 year post-qualification supervisory experience in electrical, building services, or mechanical installations
• Experience in data centres, systems integration, server hall fit-outs, live data centres, cleanrooms, or high-tech commercial fit-outs
• Strong knowledge of airflow management, critical power systems, containment partitioning, and electrical/building services/mechanical installations
• Registered Professional Engineer or professional membership with HKIE, CIBSE, IMechE, IET, or a mutually recognised overseas engineering institution
