(Assistant) FP&A Manager | APAC | Retail MNC

A leading multinational retail firm seeks an Assistant FP&A Manager in Hong Kong to drive regional P&L performance and support strategic growth across APAC.

Key responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end APAC P&L oversight, covering revenue, COGS, gross margin, OpEx, and EBITDA against budgets and prior-year performance
• Lead monthly P&L reviews, delivering variance analysis, root-cause insights, and recommendations to improve regional margins and performance
• Drive annual budgeting, mid-term planning, and rolling forecasts across APAC in line with group strategy and local market plans
• Analyse profitability by market, channel, and category, supporting pricing, promotions, inventory, and store investment decisions through ROI, payback, and NPV analysis
• Partner with Commercial, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Operations teams on growth, expansion, and cost optimisation initiatives
• Strengthen FP&A reporting and dashboards while mentoring analysts, developing talent, and presenting financial insights to senior stakeholders

Candidate profile:

• 6–9 years’ FP&A, management accounting, or finance business partnering experience, ideally within retail
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, ACCA, or CMA strongly preferred
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; SAP or Oracle ERP and Power BI or Tableau experience highly advantageous
• Strong knowledge of retail P&L drivers, including sales per sq. ft., gross margin, OpEx ratios, store EBITDA, inventory turnover, shrinkage, and labour productivity
• Excellent analytical, financial storytelling, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to influence senior decision-making
• Fluent English and Mandarin; experience mentoring teams, improving FP&A reporting, and supporting regional APAC operations or strategic projects
