Head of Finance & Shared Services | NGO | SSC Set Up

A mission-driven organisation seeks a Head of Finance & Shared Services to establish and lead a new shared services function spanning Finance, HR and Administration in Hong Kong.

This is a high-ownership opportunity to build the function from the ground up, shape its operating model and strengthen the infrastructure supporting the organisation’s long-term growth.

Key responsibilities:

• Build the Shared Services Centre from the ground up, setting its operating model, policies, controls, SLAs and KPIs
• Lead and grow the team, creating a high-performing finance-led function focused on quality, accountability and service
• Own core finance operations, from accounting and month-end close to budgeting, cash flow, reporting and audit
• Strengthen financial governance, controls and compliance across multiple entities and partner organisations
• Advise senior stakeholders including management, trustees and auditors on finance, HR and administrative matters
• Transform shared services processes through standardisation, documentation, automation and continuous improvement
• Shape systems and performance, optimising ERP, HRIS, payroll and workflow platforms while managing operational risk

Candidate profile:

• 10+ years’ experience in accounting, finance, audit or financial control, with a relevant Bachelor’s degree (Accounting, Finance)
• HKICPA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent qualification preferred; strong audit experience is an advantage
• Proven expertise in financial reporting, full-set accounting, budgeting and cash flow management
• Strong knowledge of internal controls, audit and regulatory compliance, including Hong Kong requirements
• Experience in shared services or multi-entity environments; NGO, charitable or professional services exposure is an advantage
• Exposure to HR administration, payroll and office administration, with familiarity across ERP, HRIS and workflow systems
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and process-improvement skills, with excellent written and spoken English and Chinese
