A leading logistics and e-commerce organisation seeks an Accounting Officer in Hong Kong to manage accounts receivable and billing processes, ensuring accurate customer accounts and effective credit control.

Key responsibilities:

As an Accounting Officer, you will manage accounts receivable operations, maintain accurate customer accounts, support collections and month-end activities, and contribute to effective credit control and process improvements.

  • Manage daily accounts receivable activities, including billing, invoice preparation, receipt posting, credit notes, and account adjustments
  • Maintain accurate customer accounts through cash application and account reconciliations, ensuring records remain up to date
  • Monitor AR ageing, follow up on overdue balances, and collaborate with internal teams and customers to resolve billing and payment issues
  • Prepare collection reports, AR analyses, and supporting schedules, while assisting with month-end closing, journal entries, audits, and ad hoc finance projects
  • Support credit control and process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and reliability of financial operations

Candidate profile:

  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, with 1–3 years’ relevant AR, billing, collections, or credit control experience
  • Hands-on experience in AR reconciliation, cash application, and ageing analysis, with a strong focus on accuracy
  • Experience with SAP preferred; knowledge of other ERP systems considered valuable
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and lookup functions; good command of English and Chinese, with Cantonese and Mandarin advantageous
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities independently, meet deadlines, respond to challenges, and support team needs
