Senior Accountant | Chinese Group | 40k

Senior Accountant needed to handle full-set accounts, month-end close, audit, tax, and reporting for a Hong Kong entity; candidates from Chinese or state-owned enterprises strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-set accounting and execute accurate month-end/year-end close.
• Prepare HKFRS-compliant financial statements and supporting schedules for management and statutory purposes.
• Coordinate annual audit, prepare audit schedules, and liaise with external auditors.
• Oversee profits tax, salaries tax, and statutory filings with tax agents/company secretary.
• Produce monthly management reports, variance analysis, and ad hoc financial analysis.
• Support intercompany reconciliations, group consolidation packs, and process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; HKICPA qualified or equivalent preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience handling a full set of accounts independently in a corporate setting.
• Strong preference for candidates from Chinese enterprises or SOEs, familiar with structured reporting and group controls.
• Solid knowledge of HKFRS, Hong Kong tax compliance, and audit processes.
• Advanced Excel and ERP experience (e.g., SAP, Oracle, ACCPAC/Sage 300).
• High accuracy, integrity, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Fluent Cantonese, English and Mandarin are a must.
