Senior Accountant / Assistant Manager – Financial Services Firm

A leading financial services organisation seeks a Senior Accountant / Assistant Manager in Hong Kong to strengthen financial accuracy, deliver business insights, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive reliable financial performance across the wider organisation and business.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records across the business
• Assist in preparing periodic financial statements, management reports, and regulatory submissions
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
• Perform account reconciliations and review financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and financial analysis
• Partner with internal stakeholders to provide finance support and business insights
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and professional service providers

Candidate profile:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline
• Around 3+ years’ accounting, financial reporting, audit, or finance experience
• Experience within financial services, banking, lending, insurance, or corporate environments would be advantageous
• Open to candidates with commercial industry background
• Professional qualification such as HKICPA, ACCA, CPA Australia, or equivalent is preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting or ERP systems
• Good command of English and Chinese; Mandarin capability is an advantage
