Senior Accountant | Retail Operations | MNC | 40k

The Senior Accountant (Retail Operations) will own end-to-end retail accounting, driving month-end close, POS/payment and inventory reconciliations, financial reporting, and internal controls while partnering with Retail Operations on budgets, KPIs, and audits.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead monthly/quarterly close: journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and retail P&L with variance analysis.
• Oversee POS, payment gateway, and bank reconciliations across multiple stores/channels.
• Manage inventory accounting: cycle counts, stock reconciliations, shrinkage analysis, and adjustments.
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition, gift card liabilities, promotions/discounts, and margin reporting by store/SKU.
• Maintain internal controls over cash, inventory, and financial reporting; support internal/external audits and HK statutory compliance.
• Partner with Retail Operations, Store Management, and Merchandising on budgets, forecasts, KPI reporting, and process improvements.

Requirements

• 4 years’ accounting experience with substantial retail operations exposure (multi-store/multi-channel or retail MNC).
• Must have hands-on experience in:
• Retail/POS reconciliations and payment gateways
• Inventory accounting, stock counts, and shrinkage
• Month-end close and financial reporting in a fast-paced MNC
• Advanced Excel; ERP experience (SAP/Oracle or similar) advantageous.
• Trilingual (English, Cantonese, Mandarin) highly preferred.
