A leading construction organisation seeks a Financial Controller in Hong Kong to lead financial operations, strengthen governance, and drive strategic business performance across projects.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the full finance function, overseeing financial reporting, period-end close, and statutory compliance while ensuring strong financial governance and controls
• Drive project financial management by overseeing project accounting, revenue recognition, cost control, work-in-progress tracking, and cash flow planning
• Deliver accurate management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial insights to support strategic decision-making and business performance
• Strengthen internal controls and manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, banks, and other stakeholders to ensure regulatory and audit compliance
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team while partnering with project, commercial, and operations teams to enhance financial performance and operational efficiency

Candidate profile:

• At least 10 years’ finance and controllership experience, with strong expertise in financial reporting, statutory compliance, and audit management
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification is highly preferred
• Proven construction industry experience with expertise in project accounting, including work-in-progress (WIP) tracking, contract costing, and revenue recognition
• Strong technical accounting, internal controls, cash flow management, stakeholder management, and cross-functional communication skills, with a hands-on and detail-oriented approach
• Proficient in MS Excel and ERP/accounting systems for financial analysis, reporting, and operational management
