AVP - Syndicated Finance / Loan Syndication - Foreign Bank

A leading foreign bank seeks an Assistant Vice President - Syndicated Finance / Loan Syndication in Hong Kong to drive loan origination and distribution, strengthen corporate client relationships, and support major regional transactions.

Key responsibilities:

• Conducted credit and financial analysis on target Asian corporate clients to identify syndicated loan opportunities
• Developed pitch books, term sheets, proposals, and marketing collateral to support deal origination
• Managed a proprietary database of loan transactions, tracking pricing, deal structures, and investor appetite to produce axe sheets for secondary asset sales
• Drafted underwriting discussion papers and memos, supporting senior stakeholders with liquidity and pricing analysis
• Drove end-to-end execution for primary syndicated loans—managing Information Memoranda, bank syndication lists, roadshow coordination, and marketing materials
• Facilitated secondary market distribution by sourcing investors, preparing trade documents, and managing execution
• Coordinated transaction documentation, ensuring strict adherence to internal compliance and reporting requirements

Candidate profile:

• Licensing & Registration: Appointed as a Relevant Individual authorised to conduct regulated activities for the branch
• Education & Experience: University graduate with 4 to 5 years’ corporate or commercial banking experience, specifically across credit research, syndicated loan origination, structuring, or distribution
• Credit & Financial Acumen: Strong credit assessment skills, including financial statement analysis, industry research, and a deep understanding of corporate financing structures
• Communication & Presentation: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of producing clear, accurate memos, presentations, reports, and transaction documents
• Work Ethic & Skills: Detail-oriented team player with strong time-management abilities, capable of balancing multiple tasks and tight deadlines under supervision
