A leading Chinese asset management firm seeks a Vice President/Senior Vice President (Intermediary / Fund / Institutional Sales) in Hong Kong to expand distribution networks, strengthen partnerships, and drive public and private fund growth.

Position overview:

The firm is seeking an accomplished VP/SVP of Intermediary Sales to expand the institutional and third-party distribution network, deepen channel partnerships, and drive the adoption of our public and private fund solutions. Reporting directly to the Managing Director of Asset Management, this individual will own the full client lifecycle—from business development and Professional Investor (PI) acquisition to ongoing relationship management and strategic servicing.

Key responsibilities:

  • Network Expansion: Proactively spearhead business development by forging and nurturing long-term partnerships with institutional clients, private banks, and wealth distribution channels
  • Solution Advisory: Act as the primary strategic bridge between the firm and Professional Investors (PIs), introducing tailored investment solutions and driving fund adoption
  • Collateral & Content Creation: Own the production and dissemination of impactful marketing materials, including periodic newsletters, fund performance metrics, market commentaries, and tailored pitchbooks
  • Onboarding & Compliance: Oversee smooth client onboarding journeys, execute rigorous due diligence, and manage ongoing relationship governance
  • Strategic Support: Execute ad-hoc strategic and operational initiatives as directed by the Managing Director of Asset Management

Candidate profile:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • Experience: 8+ years’ dedicated sales, fund distribution, or intermediary relationship management experience within the asset management or broader financial services sector
  • Product Acumen: Comprehensive grasp of asset management products—spanning both public funds and private alternative strategies—coupled with excellent presentation skills
  • Credentials & Languages: Valid local securities qualifications (SFC licensed) paired with an exhaustive understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks; bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese (Mandarin)
