UXUI designer - Insurance

A reputable insurance company is hiring UX Designer to join them, with 12 month renewable contract.

We are seeking a highly skilled UX Designer with a strong background in Figma to join our team in the insurance domain. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing user-centric web applications for internal users, along with expertise in design systems and team collaboration. This role requires a proactive problem solver with excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with offshore teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Create user-friendly and visually appealing web application designs using Figma for internal users.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive design system in Figma, ensuring consistency across all applications.
• Work closely with product managers, developers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective UX solutions.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and feedback sessions to improve design efficiency and user satisfaction.
• Manage and mentor 1-2 offshore designers if required, ensuring alignment with project goals.
• Apply life insurance knowledge to create intuitive workflows and user-friendly experiences tailored to the industry.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7 to 10 years of hands-on experience as a UX designer with a strong portfolio in Figma.
• Expertise in creating and maintaining design systems in Figma.
• Proven experience in designing internal web applications (non-public facing).
• Strong English communication skills (Cantonese is a plus but not mandatory).
• Ability to manage and guide offshore UX designers when needed.
• Understanding of life insurance products and workflows (preferred).
• Experience working in the insurance or financial services industry.
• Knowledge of UI principles, accessibility standards, and user-centered design.
• Familiarity with agile development processes and collaboration with development teams.
