Solution Architect – Reputed Financial Services

A reputed financial services firm seeks a Solution Architect in Hong Kong to drive business transformation through innovative architecture, cross-team collaboration, and emerging technologies.

Key responsibilities:

As a Solution Architect, you will design architectures, act as a technical liaison across onshore and offshore teams, and drive technology strategies.

• Lead and design hardware and software architectures, troubleshooting issues and defining reusable solution components
• Drive change and integration projects, implementing new technologies to meet evolving user and business needs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and small-to-medium groups, setting guidelines and aligning on technology roadmaps
• Build and maintain relationships with third-party suppliers and external experts to support architecture and capability development
• Assist in application architecture design, share best practices, and foster a collaborative learning environment

Candidate profile:

To excel in this role, you bring hands-on experience in complex environments, agile and DevOps expertise, modern software architectures, team coaching, and fluency in Cantonese or Mandarin.

• 8–15 years’ experience as a Solution Architect with financial services background (bank, insurance) preferred
• Expertise in Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, test-driven development, modern software architectures, APIs, scripting languages, and platform technologies
• Strong collaboration and leadership skills, including coaching, code reviews, and guiding small-to-medium teams
• Excellent communication to articulate technical vision, experiment with emerging technologies, and drive continuous improvement
• Fluent in Cantonese and/or Mandarin, with relevant certifications and a mindset for skill and process development
