Data Engineer AWS

An esteemed international hedge fund is seeking a Data Engineer with strong AWS expertise to join a growing data team, partnering with Data Scientists on AI, analytics, NLP and LLM. You will work in a collaborative environment with structured training opportunities.

Key responsibilities

You will design and deliver scalable AWS-based data pipelines and models in close collaboration with Data Scientists and business teams to enable advanced analytics, financial risk detection and AI solutions in a supportive and collaborative environment.

• Design, build and maintain reliable, scalable and fault-tolerant AWS data pipelines to support analytics, NLP and LLM solutions
• Develop and optimise SQL-based ETL processes and data models to transform large, complex datasets into high-quality analytical assets
• Partner with Data Scientists, front-office and product teams to translate business requirements into dependable end-to-end data solutions
• Contribute to financial risk detection systems by integrating diverse data sources and applying advanced analytical techniques
• Participate in code reviews, documentation and knowledge sharing to strengthen a collaborative culture and support continuous improvement

Candidate profile

You are a dependable Senior Data Engineer with strong AWS, PySpark and SQL expertise who thrives in collaborative teams and is motivated by continuous learning within a supportive leadership culture.

• 4–9 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer
• Hands-on and proven experience with AWS, PySpark and advanced SQL
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Statistics with a minimum GPA of 2.6/4
• Strong engineering fundamentals and a continuous learning mindset
• Good English communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
