A Hong Kong–based fintech firm is looking for a Quantitative Developer proficient in Mandarin to develop and enhance cryptocurrency trading systems.

Key responsibilities

As a Quantitative Developer, you will build and maintain C++/Java crypto trading systems in Hong Kong, partnering with traders and developers in a collaborative, innovation-driven team.

• Collaborate with developers and traders to design, develop, and maintain high-performance cryptocurrency trading systems
• Write clean, efficient C++ and Java code, optimise algorithms, and ensure system reliability and performance
• Troubleshoot technical issues, monitor system performance, and support live trading environments with minimal disruption
• Participate in code reviews, document processes and architecture, and share knowledge to uphold best practices
• Engage with stakeholders, stay current on quantitative finance and crypto trends, and contribute insights for team learning and innovation

Candidate profile

The ideal Quantitative Developer brings with C++/Java expertise, experience in crypto or financial trading systems, strong collaboration, and a growth-oriented, team-focused mindset.

• Fluent in Mandarin, essential for seamless communication and collaboration across teams and departments in a multicultural environment
• 3–7 years’ experience developing and maintaining trading systems in financial or cryptocurrency markets
• Proficient in C++ and Java, delivering reliable, high-performance code with attention to detail
• Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and respect for diverse perspectives
• Committed to documentation, continuous learning, and staying updated on quantitative finance and crypto industry trends
