Java developer- AML system; Perm role

The ideal candidate for this Java Developer position brings substantial experience working within large-scale enterprise environments—preferably within insurance or financial services—where precision in integrating AML(anti-Monatery) systems is essential.

• Collaborate with users and team members to understand the architecture of AML applications and how they integrate with other insurance systems, ensuring all requirements are clearly documented and addressed.
• Analyse user requirements as well as production issues across AML modules and related systems, providing detailed documentation to support system enhancements.
• Design solutions for AML-related enhancements and cross-system integrations, estimating effort required for implementation while considering both technical feasibility and business needs.
• Conduct thorough quality assurance reviews on programming, data flows, and system design to ensure all deliverables meet established standards before deployment.
• Support implementation activities by preparing environments for system testing, conducting tests, documenting results, and assisting with post-deployment troubleshooting.
• Write comprehensive system specifications and clarify detailed designs with users to ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions.
• Perform detailed program design tasks including writing program specifications, clarifying designs with superiors, coding programs according to standards, and reviewing code for accuracy.
• Develop test plans for unit testing as well as system integration testing; prepare test data, conduct tests, check results meticulously, and document findings for future reference.
• Assist in user acceptance testing by supporting users during the process and following up on any outstanding items throughout the System Development Life Cycle.
• Plan detailed task schedules for yourself and subordinates; supervise junior developers by providing guidance on efficient programming practices, development standards, and essential business knowledge.
• Demonstrated experience in Java development within complex enterprise environments where attention to detail is paramount when designing integrated systems.
• Proven ability to analyse user requirements thoroughly while documenting production issues across multiple modules or linked systems in an insurance or financial services context.
• Strong background in designing solutions for system enhancements involving cross-system integrations; capable of accurately estimating effort required for successful delivery.
• Comprehensive understanding of quality assurance processes including programming review, data flow validation, database design assessment, and overall system design evaluation.
• Experience supporting implementation activities such as preparing test environments, conducting various levels of testing (unit/system/integration), documenting results meticulously, and assisting with post-deployment support.
• Excellent written communication skills demonstrated through authoring clear system specifications as well as clarifying detailed designs with both users and superiors
• Ability to perform detailed program design tasks including writing program specifications according to established standards; skilled at reviewing code for accuracy prior to deployment.
• Familiarity with developing test plans for unit testing as well as system integration testing; adept at preparing relevant test data sets and documenting outcomes comprehensively.
• Track record of providing user acceptance test support by assisting users during UAT phases while following up on outstanding items throughout project lifecycles.
• Experience planning task schedules for self or others; proven capability supervising junior developers by offering guidance on efficient programming techniques along with development best practices.
