System Analyst - Securities Firm & Trading Systems

This role involves leading the system development cycle, including requirement analysis, design, coding, testing, quality assurance, and documentation, as well as provide daily production support for trading systems, ensuring operational excellence. Will also work closely with users to understand needs, and deliver tailor tech solutions. This role also involves oversee and mentor an offshore team for in-house trading system development.

In this role, you will:

• Lead the system development cycle, including requirement analysis, design, coding, testing, quality assurance, and documentation.

• Provide daily production support for trading systems, ensuring operational excellence.

• Collaborate with users to understand their needs and deliver tailored technical solutions.

• Oversee and mentor an offshore team for in-house trading system development.

• Conduct code reviews to ensure performance, quality, and risk awareness.

• Work on special projects and support weekend operations as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop back-end trading system applications using Java, Oracle, PL/SQL, and Spring Framework.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in equities, futures, options, and bond trading systems.

• Build robust APIs and integrate with open-platform technologies.

• Optimize systems for Linux and Windows environments.

• Stay ahead of industry trends and enhance technical expertise in financial products.

Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• 3~5+ years of trading system support experience, with 2+ years in hands-on Java/SQL development.

• In-depth knowledge of investment product e.g. equities, futures, options, bonds, structured products.

• Proficiency in Linux, back-end APIs, and technologies such as Hibernate, JBoss, and MQ.

• Strong planning, risk management, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication skills in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.

• Self-motivated, independent, and proactive team player.
