Senior Developer - Trading System - FS ~70K

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Developer to join a dynamic team working on the design, build and implementation of their trading system in the financial services industry. This is an opportunity where you will be part of a mission-critical platform development team. You will have the chance to work closely with seasoned, enthusiastic technologists across the IT Division and various business stakeholders.

What you'll do:

• Develop and maintain models for financial calculations, data analysis, and risk management
• Carry out duties in system development life cycle, including system design, programming, functional and technical testing
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Conduct thorough testing and validation of models and tools to ensure accuracy, reliability, and adherence to regulatory requirements
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting issues
• Undertake assignments and projects as assigned by supervisor

What you bring:

• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Financial Engineering or related disciplines
• Minimum 5 years' system development experience preferably in financial services industry
• Solid experience in application design and development in Java, C++, Python on Linux platform
• Experience with distributed computing framework, MicroServices, containerized applications, Cloud technology
• Familiarity with object storage, databases, noSQL and data manipulation tools for handling large datasets
• Understanding of finance concepts is a definite advantage
• Good communication skills in both written and spoken English
• Junior candidates will also be considered
