Rapid / RAD Application Developer

In this role, you will focus on APAC IT, specifically on Front Office Book, PnL, and Risk applications. You will provide support and development for risk and PnL books within the Equity Derivatives platform, collaborating with trading desks that specialize in Exotics, Delta One, Convertible Bonds, Warrants, and Volatility trading. You will engage in support, development, and project management, based in HongKong.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide IT development and support for APAC Global Equities trading desks.
• Evaluate requests from Trading, Quants, Middle Office, and Risk teams, delivering tactical IT solutions efficiently.
• Collaborate with a global team on development projects and ensure seamless support.
• Implement IT solutions aligned with the technology strategy.
• Document systems and processes.
• Be prepared for shift duties, including weekends and holidays.

Required Skills and Competencies:

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in Java and Python.
• Experience with Windows Server and Unix environments.

Management/Leadership/Communication:

• Background in a front office environment.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
• Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, particularly in high-pressure situations.
• Familiarity with change controls and incident management.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 year's experience in a financial workplace environment, specifically in application support for equities.
• Knowledge of equity derivative products and their valuation.
• Technical understanding of Windows, Linux, and networking.
