Java System Analyst / Tech lead - banking

The ideal candidate will serve as a SA / Team Lead, responsible for spearheading the development of critical banking applications. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic thinking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Spearhead a team of Java developers in crafting, implementing, and deploying crucial banking software
  • Design innovative technical solutions aligned with business needs, emphasizing scalability, security, and reliability
  • Mentor junior team members in enhancing systems, resolving production issues, and fostering knowledge exchange
  • Contribute to organizational improvements in processes and infrastructure, promoting continuous learning and innovation
  • Develop, test, and operate Java-based services, ensuring exceptional code quality and efficient deployment
  • Construct and maintain backend services, integrating seamlessly with various systems and applications
  • Employ innovative problem-solving techniques to identify and rectify defects proactively, minimizing downtime and maximizing uptime

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar relevant field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Java development, preferably within the banking or financial sector
  • Demonstrated track record in leading teams and managing technical projects, with a focus on Agile methodologies
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Solid technical skills including programming languages: Java 8, 11, 17.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, with attention to detail
  • Fluent English language skills (both spoken and written)
