UAT Tester (Banking)

This role focuses on User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for digital platforms in the banking and finance industry, ensuring seamless implementation of system enhancements. Key responsibilities include preparing and executing UAT test cases for platforms like e-Banking, mobile apps, and websites, collaborating with IT, vendors, and business teams to resolve issues, and supporting production releases.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute UAT test cases for digital platform changes and enhancements, including e-Banking platforms, mobile apps, and online applications.
• Log and validate test results, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate fixes with IT teams and vendors.
• Support production release verification during off-hours, including weekends or midnight releases, to ensure smooth launches.
• Define and contribute to test strategies and test plans for functional digital platform releases.
• Write, review, and maintain testing documentation, including Use Cases, Business Requirement Documents (BRD), and regression test scripts.
• Retain UAT records, including test case results, sign-offs, and supporting screenshots.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to resolve issues, prioritize fixes, and agree on acceptance criteria.
• Act as a liaison between business users and developers, ensuring alignment and effective communication throughout project phases.
• Participate in project review meetings, track progress, and escalate issues as needed.
• Assist in data rehearsal, migration planning, and system cutover activities.
• Provide training and support to key users to ensure successful UAT execution.
• Investigate production incidents and perform fixes testing in both UAT and production environments.
• Conduct volume and performance testing to ensure system stability under operational workloads.
• Regularly review testing processes to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and operational guidelines in all testing activities.

Key Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in UAT testing for digital platforms, such as websites, mobile apps, and secure portals.
• Experience working on Agile projects and website remodeling/revamp initiatives is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in writing detailed test scripts and plans.
• Knowledge of HTML, JSP, XML, and digital banking applications.
• Familiarity with project management tools like JIRA and experience with regression testing.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills to interact effectively with business, IT, and transformation teams.
• Excellent time management, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• A proactive mindset and a strong sense of ownership to deliver high-quality results.
• A university degree in Banking, Business Management, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Availability for production release support during non-business hours, including weekends and overnight.
• Candidates with extensive experience may be considered for the Senior UAT Tester role.
