**Accountabilities/Responsibilities**

Project Planning

- Provide assistance to the Programme Manager in setting goals and planning the day-to-day activities of the workstream.
- Identification of risks and issues arising from project teams and maintenance of appropriate project records and RAID logs etc.

Project Monitoring and Reporting

- Preparation and maintenance of cost budgets for the workstream.
- Provision of assistance to the Programme Manager in managing relationships with internal and external suppliers (such as GHO IT and external software vendors), e.g. setting and agreeing target deliverables and milestones and tracking progress.

Financial Control

- Preparation and maintenance of cost budgets for the workstream.
- Monitoring of workstream expenditure and reporting against budget including provision of explanations for any variances.

Team Support

- Provision of assistance to the Programme Manager in managing relationships with internal and external suppliers (such as GHO IT and external software vendors), e.g. setting and agreeing target deliverables and milestones and tracking progress.
- Assistance in preparation of internal communication documents for the workstream.

**Candidate Requirements:**

- Experience and understanding of project methodologies and lifecycles is mandatory. Ideally, the project manager will have experience of more than one methodology and understand the circumstances where each methodology is appropriate.
- Experience of actuarial modelling projects is strongly preferred.
- Experience of working across divisions in a multinational company is preferred.
- Planning skills are essential (e.g. the ability to identify discrete project goals and activities from discussions with Programme Managers and other team members). In particular, the ability to create and update detailed Microsoft Project plans is mandatory.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills in order to report progress accurately and succinctly.
