Data Tech Lead - Insurance

A well-developed Insurer is seeking for a experienced and mature data guru for a tech lead position.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of Data Management requirements gathering, analysis and clarification for the data engineering project
• Review and provide feedback for the design of Data Management components including Data Models, ETL, MDM, Data storage systems (including non-functional design) and the corresponding integration patterns
• Oversee Data Quality review, definition of validation rules and exception handling
• Provide technical advice to the vendor and project team on technical related question on the data solution
• Review and signoff functional and technical designs and specifications
• Review test scope, test approach, and test strategies related to Data Management
• Work with vendor and internal teams for any technical discussion
• Need to work with on shore and off shore development teams
• Manage the vendor and monitor actively on the delivery and manage scope, schedule, quality and cost.

Requirements

• 5-6 years; best 8-9 years exp
• Lead multiple tech tracks on the integration, need good communication and coordination skills
• With solid tech background to understand each tech track challenges and help to facilitate and resolve
• Need to work / coordinate with Group Office tech team and other local IT team (e.g. architects, BA, etc)
• Good vendor management skill
• Solid tech skill on digital skills such as API integration, Data engineering
• Knowledge on Azure cloud
• Knowledge on AS/400 would be a plus, or at least experience on integrating with core legacy system
• Have hands on development exp
