Senior Infrastructure Engineer

A manufacturing company seeks a Senior Infrastructure Engineer in Kwai Chung to lead infrastructure strategy, architecture, and platform evolution.

Key responsibilities:

As Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will architect resilient, secure infrastructure, drive automation, mentor teams, and enhance system reliability across hybrid environments.

• Infrastructure Strategy & Architecture: Define and maintain the enterprise infrastructure roadmap, standards, and best practices across servers, storage, virtualisation, networking, backup/DR, and security compliance
• Platform Engineering & Operations: Lead administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, capacity planning, and disaster recovery for core platforms including Windows/Linux, virtualisation, storage, identity, and monitoring tools
• Cloud & Hybrid Integration: Advise on hybrid and cloud infrastructure integration (Azure/AWS), supporting workload migration and hybrid architecture patterns
• Automation, DevOps & AI: Drive automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and streamlined workflows while supporting AI/LLM infrastructure, deployments, and performance planning
• Leadership & Collaboration: Serve as technical lead, mentor team members, guide architecture and change boards, and communicate infrastructure strategy and risks to stakeholders

Candidate profile:

To excel in this role, you bring hands-on enterprise infrastructure expertise, automation skills, and strong collaboration and mentoring abilities.

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent, with 10+ years in system administration/infrastructure engineering, including senior/lead roles, with proven enterprise infrastructure delivery
• Core Technical Skills: Expertise in Windows/Linux, virtualisation (VMware/Hyper-V), storage (SAN/NAS), backup/DR, Active Directory, networking fundamentals, HA/clustering, security best practices, and scripting/automation
• Preferred Technical Skills: Knowledge of public cloud (Azure/AWS), hybrid infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code (Ansible/Terraform), AI/ML workload support, and observability/SIEM tools
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership abilities
• Certifications (Optional): OS/platform (Microsoft, Red Hat), VMware, network/security (CCNP, CISSP), and cloud certifications (Azure/AWS) are advantageous
