Head of Infrastructure (Financial Services)

We are seeking an experienced IT leader to join as Head of Infrastructure. This role oversees IT infrastructure, services, governance, and critical projects to ensure stable systems and business success. Key responsibilities include managing data centers, trading systems, disaster recovery, and IT service delivery while ensuring compliance and mitigating risks.

Responsibilities:

• Lead IT infrastructure operations, including data center management, desktop environments, treasury systems, and disaster recovery planning.
• Strategically plan, design, and oversee IT infrastructure and networks while developing the technical roadmap.
• Manage IT service delivery, including system monitoring, capacity planning, patch management, and incident/problem/change management.
• Oversee IT operations for trading systems, including Market Data Services (MDS), dealer boards, and trading platforms.
• Ensure IT resilience and business continuity by developing and testing disaster recovery plans.
• Mitigate technology risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory, security, and governance requirements.
• Manage IT procurement, vendor relationships, contracts, and sourcing strategies.
• Drive global, regional, and local IT projects by planning and implementing systems and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and enhance IT governance practices, ensuring staff awareness and adherence.
• Manage IT investment and expense budgets, ensuring cost efficiency.
• Build and lead high-performing IT teams, fostering a positive organizational culture.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of IT leadership experience, preferably in the financial services sector.
• Strong expertise in IT infrastructure, service delivery, and governance.
• Extensive knowledge of Market Data Services and trading platforms like Bloomberg and Reuters.
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in IT operations.
• Proven experience managing IT projects of varying scales.
• Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, ITIL, CCNA, CCNP, or PMP highly preferred.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
• Agile, adaptable, and results-driven with a transformational mindset.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English; knowledge of Cantonese or Mandarin is an advantage.
