Senior IT Manager (~75K; Perm Role)

We are seeking an experience Senior IT manager to lead IT operations, strategy and innovation. This role involves driving digital transformation, implementing PropTech Solutions, managing daily IT operations, and overseeing team performance. Key responsibilities include vendor management, IT policy development and ensuring system efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development Support:

  • Develop a deep understanding of business operations and leverage this knowledge to drive growth and development.

IT Strategy:

  • Design, source, evaluate, and implement property technology (PropTech) solutions to enhance performance and efficiency.
  • Manage the development and maintenance of software applications, systems, and devices to align with business needs.
  • Mitigate technology risks by establishing disaster recovery and backup plans.

IT Operations:

  • Oversee daily IT operations to ensure systems run efficiently and support business requirements.
  • Monitor and manage server hardware, software, and operating system performance.
  • Troubleshoot, test, and upgrade hardware and software systems for optimal functionality.
  • Coordinate installations, upgrades, and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of business applications, ensuring alignment with stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development and management of websites.

Vendor and Service Provider Management:

  • Manage vendor contracts, renewals, and pricing negotiations.
  • Monitor and evaluate vendor performance to ensure quality service delivery.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and supervise the IT team, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and licensing requirements.
  • Oversee the annual IT budget and ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Develop IT policies, procedures, and service standards to maintain compliance and efficiency.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Handle ad-hoc IT-related tasks as assigned.
  • Occasional overseas travel may be required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in IT operations, application development, or project implementation, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with fast-paced Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Experience preparing process and requirement documentation.

Skills and Attributes

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with various stakeholders.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to respond effectively to changing priorities.
  • Fluency in English and Chinese (including Mandarin).
  • Knowledge and experience in property-related business systems are an advantage.
