System Engineer

A manufacturing company in Hong Kong is looking for a System Engineer to support critical systems using cutting-edge technology across local and overseas sites.

Key responsibilities

As a Hong Kong–based System Engineer, you will ensure reliable IT operations by managing infrastructure, supporting diverse systems and projects, collaborating with stakeholders, and providing local and overseas site support.

• Plan, manage, troubleshoot, and support IT hardware, network, and security systems
• Perform daily system maintenance and housekeeping of all IT resources and data
• Administer and support company-wide platforms including Windows servers, databases, email, antivirus, and network services
• Install, test, and commission server, network, and security equipment across local and overseas sites
• Handle SQL queries, EDI system support, database troubleshooting, and maintain technical documentation

Candidate profile

The ideal System Engineer should have hands-on infrastructure experience, strong analytical skills, and capable of delivering reliable results independently.

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in network, hardware, and system support
• Strong technical expertise in Linux, Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, and VMware/vSphere
• Experience installing and configuring PBX, CCTV, and Access Control systems; familiarity with HIKVISION, Huawei Firewalls, and ZKTECH products is an advantage
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong logical thinking, ability to handle large datasets, proficiency in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese (written and spoken), capacity to work independently with strong ownership, and willingness to travel occasionally
