Network Security Engineer - Financial Services (HKD$700-900K)

What you'll do:

  • Design, implement, manage, and monitor the corporate network infrastructure in Asia for performance, security, and availability.
  • Configure Local and Wide Area Networks in collaboration with the global network team.
  • Enhance network performance and security through monitoring and collaboration with IT security teams.
  • Establish network monitoring policies to ensure compliance and quality.
  • Optimize network performance via troubleshooting and regular upgrades.
  • Collect and analyze security metrics, reporting findings to the Asia IT Team.
  • Maintain comprehensive network documentation and troubleshoot network devices.
  • Prepare reports on system security enhancements and provide Tier 3 security support for Palo Alto, Cisco, SolarWinds, Splunk, and cloud environments.

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of IT experience within the finance industry.
  • 5+ years of experience with routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).
  • Proficient in network analysis and troubleshooting tools.
  • Expertise in Cisco technologies, ISE, and networking.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and virtualization.
  • Experience managing virtualized networks (VMware NSX-T) and Global WAN.
  • Strong hands-on skills in networking technologies (i.e., Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco Routers and Switches)
  • Excellent communication skills, speaks fluent English and Cantonese
