(Senior) Database Administrator (MS SQL/Oracle)

One of my reputable client, a well-established enterprise in HK with APAC presence, is recruiting for a few infrastructure experts to join their expanding team. If you are keen to know more, please get in touch!

About the role:

We are now looking for three talented Engineers to join their expanding team, reporting to the IT Operations Manager, the incumbent will oversee and provide operational support, design and implement for on-premises/cloud-based systems infrastructure.

What you'll do:
  • Manage Database system, ensuring availability, capacity, and daily operations
  • Perform maintenance tasks on the database system, including troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and tuning.
  • Install, patch, and upgrade database servers.
  • Assist in implementing databases to support business applications.
  • Assist in migrating database services onto multiple cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Ali).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement database solutions aligned with cloud best practices.
What you'll bring:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in database administration, working with Oracle, MS SQL
  • Familiarity with migrating database services onto cloud platforms are strong advantages (not mandatory)
  • Proficient in tasks such as database installation, backup and recovery, performance monitoring and tuning, database monitoring, data replication, and database encryption.
  • Strong database design skills and ability to solve database-related problems.
  • Good written English and Chinese communication skills.
