Assistant Manager - Cloud Operations (AWS)

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Assistant Manager to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with AWS Cloud Operations.

What you'll do:

As a Cloud Assistant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing AWS Cloud Operations.

  • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include evaluating and resolving service issues while designing tools for prevention of problem recurrence.
  • You will be the go-to person for all support teams with AWS related queries.
  • Responsible for managing security-related settings of the AWS environment.
  • Participating in creating automated monitoring and reporting systems for infrastructure health, performance and cost control.
  • Ensuring the smooth running of AWS systems through regular monitoring and updates.
  • Implementing Infrastructure as Code for improved operational efficiency will also fall under your purview. Additionally, you will participate in any AWS projects that the organization deems necessary.

What you bring:

  • The ideal candidate for the Cloud Assistant Manager role is a degree holder in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent with more than 6 years of relevant experience.
  • You should have an ITIL foundation certification and relevant experience in this area.
  • Professional qualifications such as AWS/ Azure certification would be highly desirable.
  • Experienced working in a regional hybrid environment, multi availability zones and multi landing zones environment.
  • Experience and knowledge of containers, orchestration tools and container administration, e.g. AWS EKS, Kubernetes.
  • An advanced level understanding of cloud (AWS) services is required, preferably with knowledge in multiple AWS services such as Compute, Storage, Containers, Serverless, Analytics, Database, Management & Governance.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools like Ansible, Terraform will be an added advantage.
