About the Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support: Respond to and resolve IT support requests via the ticketing system in a timely and professional manner. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, escalating complex problems to the appropriate team members when necessary.
  • Maintain ticketing system: Utilise the ticketing system to track and manage support requests. Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of all support activities. Prioritise and address tickets based on severity and impact to minimise downtime and disruption..
  • Assist with the management information system (MIS): Collaborate with the ITInfrastructure team and Data Analyst to support the MIS and ensure data integrity, system functionality, and user access controls. Assist with troubleshooting and resolving issues related to the MIS.
  • User training and support: Provide ongoing support and guidance to users, addressing their queries and concerns.
  • Hardware and software maintenance: Collaborate with the IT Support Technician for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software and peripherals, including computers, printers.
  • Stay updated with technology trends: Keep abreast of the latest developments in information technology

About the Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or
    equivalent experience).
  • Prior experience in providing technical support/ help desk support
  • Strong knowledge of hardware, software, networking, and troubleshooting
    techniques.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT service management best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical
    concepts to non-technical users.
  • Customer-centric approach with a focus on delivering high-quality support.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented
    environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
