Agile PM/Scrum Master - Financial Service
We are seeking an experienced Agile Project Manager/ Scrum Master to lead the transformation, ensuring smooth project execution and effective stakeholder collaboration.
Main Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to define and confirm the project scope, ensuring alignment and a shared understanding of objectives
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including business rationale, resource requirements, timelines, and financial estimates, securing necessary approvals from sponsors
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks while proactively communicating mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project delivery
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives) to drive team collaboration and continuous improvement
- Lead and inspire cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outcomes within agreed timelines and budgets
- Partner with onshore and offshore vendors to ensure successful system delivery; assist in gathering and analyzing business requirements
- Create and maintain the Project Charter, clearly defining roles, responsibilities, and expectations for all team members and stakeholders
- Support the Director of PMO in managing project budgets, resource allocation, and financial tracking across multiple IT initiatives involving external vendors and remote teams
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Proven experience managing IT transformation projects within the insurance or financial services sectors
- Strong expertise in Agile methodologies (Scrum framework preferred) with a track record of delivering projects using Agile practices
- Experience in enterprise level project / financial service is highly advantageous
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement and vendor management
- Demonstrated ability to manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies effectively
- Leadership skills to motivate and coordinate diverse cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
- Professional certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent are highly desirable
- Proficiency in Cantonese and English is essential for this role
- Availability on short notice will be considered a strong advantage
