Senior Operations Business Analyst (Banking, 75k)

A financial institution in Hong Kong seeks a Senior Operations Business Analyst to improve post-trade operations through scalable custody and settlement solutions across product, operations, and tech teams.

Key responsibilities:

As a Senior Operations Business Analyst, you will deliver scalable custody and settlement solutions, collaborate across teams, and improve operational processes.

• Build strong relationships across product, operations, and technology teams
• Partner with stakeholders, vendors, and clients to design scalable custody, settlement, safekeeping, and connectivity solutions
• Analyse complex data from multiple sources to produce clear, actionable deliverables
• Lead documentation including data models, process flows, requirements, implementation plans, and test strategies
• Define and validate business, functional, and non-functional requirements with relevant teams
• Improve workflows through retrospectives and continuous engagement with project teams.
• Manage multiple initiatives, align priorities with tech leads, and identify risks, constraints, and improvement opportunities

Candidate profile:

To excel in this role, you bring strong experience in post-trade, strong custody/settlement knowledge, Agile/Waterfall delivery experience, and ability to drive change and communicate effectively.

• 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst
• Strong knowledge of post-trade, settlements, and transaction processing
• Experience in custodians, broker-dealers, or asset managers across equities or fixed income
• Proven delivery in Agile and/or Waterfall software development environments
• Strong analytical skills with ability to manage ambiguity and solve complex problems
• Excellent communication skills with ability to tailor messaging to different stakeholders
• Proactive, adaptable, and experienced in driving change within fast-paced Agile environments
