Senior IT BA/PM (10 years’ experience, Contract)

A leading financial services firm is looking for a Senior IT Business Analyst/Project Manager for 9-month APAC Regulatory Reporting IT contract in Hong Kong Island to deliver regulatory projects, optimise trade lifecycle, and collaborate with global investment banking teams.

Key responsibilities

As Senior IT BA/PM in Hong Kong Island, you will drive APAC regulatory reporting projects, define solutions, collaborate with stakeholders, and support users through go-live.

• Act as Functional IT BA/PM for APAC Regulatory Reporting IT team, leading regional and local projects to enhance the bank’s regulatory reporting ecosystem
• Leverage strong functional knowledge of APAC regulatory landscape and trade lifecycle across investment banking asset classes
• Conduct requirement gathering, solution definition, business analysis, and coordinate with stakeholders, internal teams, vendors, and global IT teams
• Manage project governance, including updates to sponsors, steering meetings, risk escalation, and timely delivery of IT solutions
• Provide training, documentation, and tactical/strategic support to business users and APS teams before project go-live

Candidate profile

To excel in this role, you are skilled in corporate and investment banking products, trade lifecycle, SQL/Excel/IT implementations, program management, and has strong communication skills.

• Over 10 years of hands-on experience with corporate and investment banking products across asset classes (Equities & Derivatives, FX, Commodities, Credits, Rates, Structured Deposits, Fixed Income)
• Techno-functional expertise with IT implementation experience in large investment banks, including hands-on SQL and Macro is a must
• Solid understanding of front-to-back trade lifecycle: Booking, Validation, Confirmation, Settlements, Accounting, Reconciliations, P&L, and Risk Calculations is advantageous
• Proven project management skills with experience delivering large-scale transformation programs and managing change
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, able to work proactively with minimal supervision
